The Story

Outstanding species with purple-tinged shell-shaped foliage displaying impressive shingling behaviour, the underside of which is generally full of roots.

Blooms: Dainty, bell-shaped creamy-yellow flowers which grow especially during warmer months.
Sun exposure: Best in bright indirect light to showcase foliage.
Water requirement: Thrives on high levels of humidity. Mist foliage daily. Allow soil to almost dry out before watering. Submerge in container of water until air bubbles dissipate or gently hose. Will not tolerate roots being overly damp.
Maintenance: Low. Repot annually. Half strength doses of liquid fertiliser at the beginning of Spring and Summer.
Special note: Full name - Dischidia aff. imbricata Omea rv. PNG DL IML 1079. WAOL permitted. From the Conchophyllum section of the genus. Imbricate meaning leaves that hold tightly to their growing surface. Close relative to hoya. Roots on this species are often very fine. Order limits apply.

Each living plant is unique and may vary in size, colour, or shape depending on the season. Flowering plants are sent when available. Plants are sent bare-rooted.
